Production Process:

Using by-product C5 fraction from athylene production via cracking the crude oil, the product is obtained through precise fraction for removing the lighter and heavier fractions as well as solvent extraction. The product is divided into two grades i.e. (for) polymer and chemicals.

Property:

The product is colorless or light yellow, explosive and highly volatile liquid, specific gravity: 0.6806; melting point: syn-type -147.7; boiling point: 34.1; flash point: -53.89.spontaneous ignition: 220; explosion limit (v/v):1.5-9.7%.

Major Application:

Isoprene is a very important C5 diene (s), and can be used to make via polymerization, synthetic rubber, plastics and terpene compounds. It has typical conjugated double bound with reactive  chemical nature, so that it can synthesize perfume. pesticide, medicine and other refined chemical products, such as pyrethrum, linalool, plant alcohol, VE and etc.

Storage:

Stored at low temperature especially in summer, and well ventilated place. Kept away from open fire, heat source and direct sunlight. The product is nor suitable for long term storage due to its sensibility to polymerization. Package should be sealed, better to fill it with N2 to isolate the air. Stored separately from oxidizer or acid

Transportation:

As hazardous matters class I, the bulk can be handed by tank truck.
